New Improved Volunteer Check-In System Coming Soon!

We will soon be installing customized check-in modules in each of our volunteer’s brains.  This new system will enhance our volunteer assessment significantly by:

• Automatically downloading your SHAPE into our database and assigning you to the perfect serving role
• Upload Guest sensitivity protocols
• Run scheduled attitude virus scans and delete potential threats
• Automate orientation and continuous training for your area of service
• Implant over-scheduling monitors that will allow you to say NO to frivolous weekend activities
• Install Perimeter detection modules that will automatically check you into CCB when you show up for service
• Run automated reports that detect absences or patterns which may indicate life issues

Okay, of course, I’m being silly but hey, how cool would that be!?  Sorry for the sci-fi moment, blame it on the meds.

Seriously…

We ask every volunteer to check-in every time you serve.  Why?

1. It allows your ministry leader to accurately assess volunteer holes and gives them the data they need to plan for optimum programming for your area.  We want every first time visitor to have an excellent experience that will bring them back again and again.  Instead of, “Oh, I’m sorry. We’re short handed this week but hey, come back next week.  Maybe we’ll have everything covered then,” we can adequately staff every event for an optimum experience.  Remember, every week is someone’s first.  We don’t want it to be their last.

2. It allows ministry leaders to properly care for their volunteers.  Simply stated, we can’t help what we can’t see. If someone is falling off the radar, your ministry leaders want to know!  They care about you and every volunteer in their ministry. We want to be proactive in reaching out with love when volunteers are struggling.

3. Visibility. For many of our ministries, particularly Family and Guests Services, our visitors need to be able to see who’s officially serving and what their name is.  This is also a safety protocol for our children’s ministries.

4. It’s a prerequisite for leadership.  The Apostle Paul said, “Now, a person who is put in charge as a manager must be faithful.” (1 Corinthians 4:2, NLT) Our goal is to help you reach yours. Not every volunteer is called to move into leadership but the fact is many are. God has planted more gifts in you than you probably realize. Our staff is committed to help you reach your God potential.  That begins with simple, faithful service week in and week out.

So, PLEASE, commit to checking in every Sunday you serve. Or at least until we get the bugs worked out on the brain implant system!
